✅ Naval Dockyard Mumbai Apprentice 2026 Eligibility Criteria:
- Rigger: Minimum 50% aggregate in 8th Standard.
- Crane Operator Overhead (SI): Minimum 50% aggregate in 10th Standard.
- All other trades: Minimum 50% aggregate in relevant subjects in 10th Standard, and minimum 50% aggregate in ITI in the respective trade. ITI should be under NCVT or SCVT, as applicable.
- Age: There is no upper age limit. Minimum age is 14 years for non-hazardous trades and 18 years for hazardous trades, as on the closing date of online applications.
- Candidates must meet the physical fitness standards under the Apprenticeship Rules, including minimum height 137 cm, minimum weight 25.4 kg and minimum chest expansion 3.8 cm, and should be free from tuberculosis and contagious diseases.
✅ Stipend and Training Period:
- Most designated trades: ₹9,600 per month
- Crane Operator Overhead (SI): ₹8,200 per month
- Rigger: ₹6,800 per month
- Training duration: 1 year for most trades, 15 months for Crane Operator, 18 months for Pattern Maker, and 2 years for Shipwright Steel and Rigger.
Apprenticeship training does not guarantee permanent employment in the Indian Navy or Naval Dockyard after completion of training.

- Merit-based shortlisting on educational / ITI marks
- Written Examination for shortlisted candidates (centre in Mumbai and nearby locations such as Thane / Kandivali)
- Medical Examination
- Document Verification
